| Providence is just down the road, yet we have to play them in Miami. This sucks. |

Imagine if we played them in Providence on 2/12 -- _________________ It's better to burn out than to fade away |

What, exactly, would be the problem? Lax is playing at West Point today (if the blizzard stays far enough south). _________________ "Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here." |

I haven't read it anywhere but I heard Normandin hurt her back... did anyone else hear that? _________________ Sometimes you gotta! |

| Sanders does not appear to be off to a great start and we haven't even played any ranked teams yet. Expect a lot more losses than year in years past. |

My guess is that Sanders is going to be the second pitcher with Plourde getting the majority of the starts. There may be a few more losses, but this team will be fine. _________________ It's better to burn out than to fade away |

Nice start to the season taking 4 out of 5. Competition gets much tougher next weekend! _________________ It's better to burn out than to fade away |

Plourde was the A10's Pitcher of the Week, going 3-0 with a 1.84 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched. I thought she was 4-0, but apparently the box score is wrong and it was Sanders who pitched the Providence game.
Reeves was A10 Player of the Week. Last season's A10 Player of the Year, Carly Normandin, has yet to take the field. |

| Great win in 9 innings for the softball team over Mississippi State today. Plourde gets the win and Magill hit a homer in the bottom of the 9th to win it. |

| Bulldogs took the lead in the top of the 8th (extra innings) and UMass tied it in the bottom, then went down a run in the 9th before a two-run homer gave them the win. Exciting game. |

Lose 3-1 to NC State in the second game. Not sure if she got hurt, but Bailey Sanders pitched only 2/3 of an inning and gave up all three runs. Plourde went the rest of the way and held State scoreless. Seems to me that Plourde will be pitching most of our games this season. I believe the loss drops the Minutewomen to 5-2. _________________ It's better to burn out than to fade away |
