Best I can do: the team is located in Székesfehérvár, about 40 miles west of Budapest, near the major resort area of Lake Balaton. Say it "Say-kiss-fair-var" and you'll be close.
Some of it's easy to figure out: 216 cm tall, born in 1985, played at "Massachusetts Egyetemen" or the "Universities of Massachusetts" (has the Amherst/Lowell/Dartmouth/Boston debate reached Hungary?), brother Matt plays for the San Antonio Spurs. |

You get the gist from this translation:
After Scott Morrison has not accepted the offer had been amended several times Albacomp even after the new center to look at the team's management. At the end of August, and the other two foreign kosarassal and válogatottakkal together to start to prepare the team for the selected player Luke Bonner, the United States. The 216 cm tall center demonstrate the capabilities of two-week trial period, and that it can meet the family tradition: his brother, Matt, the San Antonio Spurs profit
Luke was born in 1985. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, first trying to Europeans, therefore, good luck to the following season, just like last year, Scott. After Fehervar arrives, then the entire frame to work together. If the suitability of the news, not only over the backboard, but the outside is dangerous, the center can be the first Albacomp magasembere the following season. |

| Matty V reported in his Rhody preview yesterday that Bonner is joining the D-League's Austin Toros. |

I spoke directly with Luke on Saturday. He is still waiting for paperwork from his Hungarian team. After that he'll be eligible to enter the NBA D-League player draft pool.
It's like a waiver wire system...bottom teams get first crack. He said any team could scoop him up but it's likely they won't (his words). He worked out with the Toros and head coach Quin Snyder (former Mizzou coach) and he said the team liked him so much that he was brought to Springfield for the weekend (Austin played Springfield Saturday and Monday) even though he isn't on their roster yet.
He said Europe is cutting American players left and right due to economic reasons.
Ironically he said he had 15 points and 8 rebounds in a win and he was released later that day.
He's looking forward to the D-League. |

| Has anyone else read Paul Shirley's book Can I Keep My Jersey? While reading the book you will constantly think you are reading Luke Bonner's blog. The book also makes you realize what these fringe players go through on a daily basis to keep a job on a pro basketball team. |

From last night in the D-League:
| Quote: | | This may come as a surprise to you, I know it did to me, but I thought Big Hugga Luke Bonner should've played more. He played seven minutes, all of it in the first half, and made both of his shots. Maybe it was just being matched up with DeVon Hardin, who sat most of the second half with foul trouble, but Bonner moves pretty well for a guy his size and generally looked good in his limited minutes. |
Luke was also on the floor with Eddie Basden (!) last night. Eddie (and his defense) wouldn't have likely swung more than a game or two had Bruiser bought himself one more more year here, but that extra year w/Eddie certainly would have altered the future of the program ever so slightly...
Back to Luke, he's played 3 games so far and is 4-4 from deep:
