I didn't think much of the ads and The Who, one of my all time favorite bands, were a huge disappointment (made me appreciate what Springsteen and Jagger are doing). This ad should have been on the Super Bowl and then maybe ktabz's wife would have been somewhat mollified:

| I will never complain about an underwhelming classic rock performance when the alternative is an American Idol winner or a fat guy in a cowboy hat. |

1. I didn't know Pete Townsend was allowed to be in a public park.
2. On a somewhat related note, what was up with all the ads of people in their underwear? That ad about casual Friday followed by the ad with people wearing no pants.
3. Oh, yeah, the game was pretty good. |

The only thing worse than most of the commercials were The Who...why, I don't know...he's on third and I don't care.

| I would have to agree that none of the commercials were great. However, Hyundai was pushing that car, and it looked halfway decent for a hyundai. I could do without the men and fat women in their underwear |

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
That was great!
I actually thought The Who, given their age, put on a pretty decent show. It is also only two of them left, which to me makes a difference as well. And I was quite pleased that they played such a variety of songs... If I recall, the Stones only played 3 songs when they performed in the Pitt/Seattle game.
I'd rather see the classic rock stuff, or some big soul artist perform than modern day stuff, unless it was Usher, Timberlake or Alicia Keys.
I am guessing that we'll never see a performance like Michael Jackson's again.. that is probably the best ever done.
Then again, we could have Stevie Wonder driving a car onto the field again... anyone remember that?? lol |

The WHO, who I love, show how well preserved the Stones and E street band are. the WHO, I fear, were so old as to be irrelevant. Trust me - almost no one in college had any idea who they were.
My guess is they go back to Country next year.
The half-time music is largely a sideshow to the game. _________________ 'Son, what is it with you? Is it ignorance or apathy?' He said, 'I don't know and I don't care.'" |

As far as the game is concerned, notice how we no longer hear the nitwit haters saying that a) Peyton is a better post season QB than Brady and b) that the Colts could challenge the Pats for the title of 'team of the decade'?
I think both a) and b) were settled on Sunday. _________________ Word to your motha! |
