I know I'm jumping the gun by starting this thread, but this will be a huge game for us, and I will say that every able-bodied UMie (and that crazy dancing kid in the tricorner hat) MUST go to this game. Why?
1) last regular season home game THIS SEASON for the Gorillas at Garber (can you believe it?);
2) last CAA regular season home game THIS SEASON at Garber (yes, I know that if we make playoffs and are the highest seed, we will host both games);
3) Towson's 1-5 right now, but the 5 are Bucknell, Stony Brook, Maryland, Virginia and Loyola;
4) Two words: SENIOR DAY.

For the season? For ever? After putting in those bleachers and Astroturf, I'd assume the former. |

When you write "Can you believe it?", yea, I think it's fair to assume you mean forever. Who would be shocked by the last home game of the regular season??? It happens every year, for every team, in the entire world. SHOCKER |

I think the fact that a UMass spring team doesn't have a home game scheduled on campus after April 10 is significant ... if not more than a little odd. _________________ I wrote this ... it's gotta be true. |

I agree - it does seem early. _________________ Feeling entitled is JUST a feeling... |

| It's due to the Warrior Classic and moving the Georgetown game to Connecticut. We only have 6 home games this season when we usually have 7. But take care of business in the CAA and we'll get the tournament games. |

I meant that I was referring to a specific spring team, not any spring team. _________________ I wrote this ... it's gotta be true. |

I asked about the move there and was told that this the last year Georgetown will play us. ( New league realignments) It is also a doubleheader that is going to be carried on ESPN. Need to put on a good win and show the country on how good a team we have. Should be a great recruiting tool. |

I totally agree and for me it goes back to a general theme that I have noticed in the past few years: atrocious scheduling of games. I notice it mostly w/football games but have also noted it with softball, hockey and lax. Its like nobody in the AD seems to realize that having home games appropriately scheduled is a BIG DEAL. To not have any home games at Garber after April 10th is bizzaro.
Why would we allow ourselves to be in a situation where Georgetown won't be playing us any longer??? Thats absurd as well. |

Probably the same excuse that the North Carolina/Maryland schools give for why they won't play us any more unless it's at their house......expenses. But we all know it's because they don't want to come to Garber with the possibility of getting their asses kicked!!! By the way, we haven't beaten Georgetown since 2005. |

Last year they were in our conference. Now they are in Big East Lacrosse, and UMass is not.
Why we would allow ourselves to be in a situation where we are not in the Big East is a long discussion mostly unrelated to lacrosse. |
