Final 4 is set:

Cornell vs, Notre Dame

UVA vs. Duke

I know the lower bracket winner will be the de-facto champion. My biased view is that Big Red has something to prove after last year's last second collapse to 'Cuse. The Irish have something to say about that, of course.

UVA did not play very well against Stony Brook - I think victories in regular season color one's views. This is my hope for a UVA/Cornell final.

I found it hard to root against Army today - some of those guys will be in a shooting war by Fall. It should be hard to root against Army, or the other academies for that matter.

Not going this year, but it is a lot of fun - and look forward to Final 4 return to Gillette.

Cornell gets my cheers this year. The possibility of a Duke/ND final would be too much to bear, anyway Shocked

Cornell has to play to win at end of games, not play 'not to lose'. Its 4th quarters and last 4 minutes have been terrible most of the season. I am hoping that they are learning to play looser.

It does help that Big Red's goalie and D - mostly first years, have greatly improved.

Unfortunately, that trend seems to have started 366 days ago on the turf of Gillette Stadium.

Ugh ... a final featuring the nation's two most annoying universities. I wish it were possible for both teams to lose.

Eh, I don't mind Notre Dame, and the fact they are in the championship game after a 7-6 regular season is pretty cool. Plus, their goalie is a monster. Go Irish!

The only thing more annoying that Hail To The Victors is that fucking Notre Dame fight song. I'm backing Duke in this one in what could be the only time I've ever been behind the Blue Devils. Plus, they have Max Q. who I'm hoping the Blazers pick up in the NLL draft because he can flat out score!!

Both Duke and Max Q can both stick it where the sun doesn't shine. I could give a sweet crap about Max Q and the fact he is from Duxbury. If he went to UMass it would be a different story. Go Irish!

Well, to say the LEAST, I am disappointed.

Duke vs. N.D. - Duke will win, despite the N.D. goalie. Yeeech.

I was hoping for UVA/Cornell - Cornell did not show up in first half. I could not have been more off base.

All in all, dissatisfying.

Duke wins in O.T. - on a dream face off win and fast break shot by a long pole middie. Props to N.D. for hanging in so close.

While I hate the N.D. slow down style, it does a great job in team defense, coached by a UMIE' 86 Econ major - Gerry Byrne.

Gerry Byrne has pulled out of consideration for the Harvard job. Now that I would haved to see, Harvard turning to UMass for help!

forgot link, reader comments are interesting too:
