suffer first conference loss (8-1) but remain on top of NECC.

The ex Calipari and Flint assistant has done a very nice job since taking over the basketball program in Worcester.

I had a chance to meet Brian at Springfield College last year. He still talks very fondly of UMass. He grew up in Warren but says he considers Amherst his home.

He keeps in touch with the program more than you would expect an in-season coach to.

Brian was Mr. UMass basketball, he was around during the Gerlufson era through the Flint era, everything he ever told me turned out to be right on. Good luck to him!

More recognition for BG...

Becker's Brian Gorman was named NECC Golf Coach of the Year, as voted upon by all seven conference head coaches. The Hawks were also awarded the NECC Team Sportsmanship Award. Cool

This posts presents an interesting dilemma. Is it negative because it implies DK isn't getting the job done or positive in it support for Gorman, another UMass guy? Very Happy

In all seriousness, great to see him doing well!
