Forbes scored 14 last night in Denver's blowout of Toronto (123-90).
First appeared was in the 2nd quarter. Scored 6 in the 2nd quarter, and the other 8 in garbage time. Didn't record any assists or rebounds though.

The Melo trade has hurt Forbes's playing time, overall. He was coming in to spell Melo and appeared mostly at the 3. After the trade, Chandler and Gallinari ate up almost all the minutes at 3. Gallinari was out for a few games and Forbes filled in for him.

Right now, it looks as though there is an opportunity for Forbes to get more minutes at the 2 since Aaron Afflalo is out for a week or more with a hamstring injury.

Here's his stats to date:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4805;_ylt=Ah7xAPjXhwGLjyn8pmNVqmekPaB4

57 games, 11:35 mpg, 46.5% FG%, 37% 3FG%, 65.2 FT% (needs to work on that!), 1.7 rpg, 0.7 apg, 0.7 tpg, 4.9ppg.

Not bad for rookie! Like the 46.5 FG% especially. Also, like the fact that the Denver announcers praise his D frequently.

Edit: almost forgot, most importantly, with 11 games to go, it's looking highly likely that Denver will make the playoffs!

Ugh, DNP vs. the Spurs last night. At least the Nuggets won though.
Bench was outstanding: Harrington, Felton, and JR Smith all contributed in a big way. Not much of a need for Forbes when they're playing like that.

It's a pleasure to read about someone who is appreciative of the life he has. I trust he knows how many people are rooting for him.

Gary didn't get into the game last night, as the Nuggets opened up their playoff series at OKC. OKC won 107-103.

I think Gary was the most naturally skilled player at UMass since Marcus Camby. I hope his drive keeps him in the NBA for a long time.

69MG, good point. I remember fans (myself included) on here getting frustrated with his play and yet he won A10 Player of the Year honors. He was that good that we actually wanted even more from him.

Good stuff on Gary. He clearly knows he can't take anything for granted when it comes to staying in the league. Too many college stars have fallen into that trap, Gary's not going to be one of them.

According to Matty V., Gary has been offered a contract by the Nuggets. Great to hear for Gary, who has worked his tail off to get this opportunity. Matty also mentions that Tony Gaffney is working out for the Nuggets.

At least they won't be fighting for the same position. That's a problem when Gaffney and Lasme are competing for a roster spot.

Nope Mal, Erving and Skinner played together with the Sixers in the late 70's or early 80's. Al's last year in the NBA. Maybe someone has the right
year.

Great news for Gary. It was great to see him play in college and again in the NBA. Plus, I can play with him in NBA 2k!
