| Kiara Bomben, a 5' 11" forward from Australia, has transferred from Florida Gulf Coast. Bomben will sit out this year and will be eligible as a redshirt sophomore or junior in 2012-2013. Bomben played her freshman year at FGC but was an injury redshirt in 2010-2011. |

Now I'm confused. (Nothing new there.)
I thought that without super-special dispensation from the NCAA poobahs, the most any athlete gets is five-to-play-four.
She already has had a medical redshirt year, and now, after playing one, she will sit again. That makes six-to-play-four when she is done.
Can she only play two for us? Anyone? _________________ "Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here." |

| You are correct. I am guessing she will apply for an exemption with the NCAA like Zullo did which will hopefully result in an extra year of eligibility. |

| Just look at Robbie Hummel at Purdue.....he's been there about 10 years and has had at least 4 redshirts because of injuries....... |

From what I've heard, if one of the reasons people redshirt a season is due to a medical issue, the NCAA will give you the 6th year in which to play your 4 seasons. |
