Central Conn is 1-0 on the season after a win over Maine by the score of 53-48. CC shot 20/54 FGs (37%) including 3/6 from 3 pt range and 10/19 FT's. They held Maine to 31.6% FG %.

Central Conn finished 19-11 last season including a 5th place 11-7 mark in the Northeast Conference.

Central Conn fields a young team:

SO 5' 5" Guard Jaclyn Babe (6/18 16 pts vs Maine)
JR 6' 3" Center Kirsten Daamen (4/9 9 pts vs Maine)
SO 6' 2" Forward Lauren Aroquast (4/11 10 pts vs Maine)
FR 5' 9" Guard Kaley Watras (0/6 2 pts vs Maine)
FR 5' 8" Guard Danielle Davis (2/2 5 pts vs Maine)

They currently have an RPI of 100. Boston Univ had an RPI of 73 (lower is better) before their game vs UMass and UMass started with a 161 RPI but should move up after their win over BU.

A frustrating loss - the girls should have won by 10+. 27 turnovers, giving up 17 offensive rebounds and shooting poorly at the line doomed the team but the good thing is they almost won despite all these mistakes. Dawley was furious after the game and I think it will wake up the team that they have to play the way they did against BU - they can't just show up and expect to roll over any opponent.

Zullo was not getting open looks I noticed on Wednesday night so she didn't nearly match her production from the BU game. Niggeling looks like a promising high post player.

Frustrating last 7 minutes of the game (including OT)
