It also shows what can happen when UMass gets out there and promotes a game. There were six Facebook postings (which also go to Twitter) about the game in the 24 hours leading up to it. I haven't seen them that aggressive in awhile if ever. Not one mention about basketball, but I'll chalk that up to them facing back-to-back gamedays and having to focus on one. Hopefully they will promote both sports like that in the coming weeks. _________________ http://youtu.be/8i5A1Pn0z6k |

Not quite, they ran a lot of promotions for the game, it was youth hockey night and some other things that got people in the door. Now lets see with the win if they come back next Friday. |

Whatever they did, when was the last time we saw almost 6,000 at a hoops game? The out-of-conference teams they brought into the Mullins this year, save for Davidson, had no interest. _________________ If only I could be as great a fan as Pierce9999.... |

And we continue to be the only undefeated team at home in college hockey. Also, one of two winless teams on the road (1-18-1 Sacred Heart the other)
24th in RPI, t22nd in Pariwise. |

I know it's still early and lots could happen and there's only been 3 games since the New Year, but I'm pretty excited that two weeks ago, I wasn't even sure about the Hockey East Playoffs and now we're talking about pairwise. _________________ I wish Hockey East was an all-sports conference. |
