I was curious..

Clancy was a beast. Saw him play the first year of the Eastern 8 (now the Atlantic 10, of course). He was a monster on the court. _________________ If only I could be as great a fan as Pierce9999.... |

^^
I am sure that Clancy only played BB at Pit and took up FB after he graduated.
I can remember in one game at the cage when we played Pitt we had a player named Curtis Falls, was supposed to be a big star but never really delivered, who picked an on court fight with Clancy. Clancy wound up chasing Curtis into the stands. Coach Ray Wilson wound up with a broken pair of glasses trying to bread up the confrontation. I think the date was Feb 24 , 1981. Pit won 101 - 61. Can anyone confirm? |

| I cannot confirm the date but I was at that game as well. Clancy was gigantic and that brawl was unbelievable. The 1978-1982 time period I was at UMASS had to be the worst consecutive 4 years of basketball ever at the school. |

| What is special about the site? I use Mozilla as my primary site and windows explorer as my secondary and neither would open the site you listed. |

| Thanks for the fix. That happened in the 79-80 season when we went 2-24. The season before that 78-79 we went 5-22 and the season after 80-81 we went 3-24. I was there for all of those home loses. I can just imagine the comments that would appear on this board if it existed then. |

Looks like Allen Suber is already convincing kids to come North. I like it. _________________ "Wherever I go, I’ll never be bashful about being from UMass, baby.” -Victor Cruz |

^ Right Crooks, I wouldn't doubt he helped get the the kid from Tampa
(Giles). He will be a big help in recruiting Florida. Or as they know him down
here in Daytona from his playing days . . . "Suberman"! |

Google search suggests he may be headed to Missouri. |

This article kind of talks about Suber's involvement with Delvin Battle.
I'm not really sure how to read this paragraph:
| Quote: | | Suber said he was not responsible for B-CU commit Dalvin Battle changing his mind and not signing with the Wildcats, but he did play a role in the two-star recruit's final decision to sign with UMass on Monday. |
http://www.news-journalonline.com/sports/college/2012/02/16/ex-wildcat-suber-settling-in-at-umass.html
So, he didn't convince him to not go to Bethune Cookman but he did convince him to go to UMass, which is not Bethune Cookman.
Sounds like witchcraft to me. _________________ "Wherever I go, I’ll never be bashful about being from UMass, baby.” -Victor Cruz |
