| [quote="DrG"]...I like the MAC for football. You have to play Tuesday nights to get on TV, but 4-5 teams go to bowls and I do like the stability. /quote]For the MAC, this past season was a favorable exception. Usually 2, maybe 3 MAC teams play in bowl games. It is a relatively stable conference. |

maybe we should see if we can win a game as a transitional participant in the mac before we start talking about changing conferences...just saying. |

| Except that this isn't really about winning in the MAC or anywhere else (Memphis isn't being invited to the BE because they are a football powerhouse, for example). If we're being brought into the discussion on conference realignment on sports blogs, it's certainly fair game for some fun discussion, if nothing else. |

I totally disagree that it isn't about winning football games. First and foremost It is all about building a winning football program. Its a multi-year process but starting strong and playing winning football is very important to this program.
"They're going to work harder than they've ever worked before in their life. How do I know that? I don't know what they did before I got here, but I know this, I looked at their immediate past and their track record of success and I'm telling you they could have worked harder," he said. "What they were wasn't good enough. If it was good enough, I wouldn't be standing here today. Somebody else would standing here. He's not, so I can tell you this, we are going to work very very hard as a football team." Coach Molnar 01/11/12

I think winning is the idea, but now that we're an FBS program, we need to act like it on and off the field. If the landscape of college football is shifting in such a way that if we need to change conferences, that's what we do. I think most, if not all, of us are happy as can be with the MAC. I firmly believe it is a stable conference that will suit us well.
However, if there is even a whisper about our involvement in NCAA: Musical Chairs, we need to explore and discuss it here. Fire has followed smoke very closely the past few years. _________________ "Wherever I go, I’ll never be bashful about being from UMass, baby.” -Victor Cruz |

I apologize if this has been asked already, but I am just not willing to scroll through 120+ pages.
Does anyone know if a donation to the UMAA is necessary to get the VIP parking? I got club seats, does the special parking come with that? Does anyone know? PM me please and thank you. _________________ Sieve Detector |

Yes, an additional donation to the Minutemen Club (nee UMAA) is needed for VIP. Last I knew the exact amount was not yet determined. Talk to meff for details, there was a point where I thought he was getting a kickback for every VIP parking pass he talked people into. _________________ UMass Hockey Blog:

Alan,
I bought a pack of four tickets through the school and the donation to the Minutemen Club was built in to the price. Maybe if you went through a third party it was taken out, and you would have to chip in to them. |

The deal was that you needed to purchase 4 club seats (or more) to get the VIP parking. _________________ UMass Football-2013 MAC Champions!!!!! |

I believe that's one route to get VIP parking. You don't HAVE to purchase four club seats to get the parking. I believe a yet-to-be-determined donation to the Minuteman Club will get you a VIP pass. |
