FWIW: Freddie Riley tweeting again with some perceived frustration about not getting more playing time.

Interesting article about a service that universities can purchase to monitor it's athletes use of social media:

Not quite. This is an exaggeration, but maybe less so if the social media user sets privacy controls. On Facebook, this is becoming more common, so that people have to be "friends" with the person in order to see what was posted on "walls". On Twitter, privacy controls seem to be the exception, where most people choose to be fully viewable.

I'm not so sure on this one. Part of me thinks that accepting a scholarship should come with some amount of abiding by special rules, which might include letting the "monitors" see what you tweet or post on your Facebook wall.

I would draw the line though at private tweets or Facebook private messages.

Nice article. Wish our school would establish some rules/guidelines about tweeting. If they already exist, would love to see the official policy on that.

If it is already established for the athletes, maybe it isn't a public policy?

Good one Mike. But not as good as the year you "closed down" the site on April Fool's day.

Thanks for the laugh, Mike! I definitely was in until the carrier pigeon. Too funny. And yes I still remember exactly where I was when I read that you were closing down the site April 1 way back when.
