| I will file a report after the Coach Molnar reception in Worcester this afternoon. The one at The Banner last year had about 50 UMass people so we will see how many come out today. The location is kind of strange....it is a gym but there is a bar attached to it but there is little signage for the bar itself. Maybe Coach Molnar will make us go into the gym and see how many times we can press 250 like the NFL combine. |

It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it. That bar is def a little strange. I've only been there once. Hope everyone finds it ok! _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |

Coach Molnar was VERY impressive at the reception this afternoon in Worcester. There were probably 50+ patrons in the bar and plenty of free food too! The guy that manages the bar/Worcester Fitness is a 98 UMass grad. One of the newspaper guys was there Matt Vatour I believe. Molnar made a speech about how UMass paid to have all the guys in for 8 weeks of training like other MAC schools do. He emphasized that this team will be better conditioned than any UMass squad before it an that they were doing contact drills right up to the MINUTE of the 20 hours allowed by the NCAA. When asked about the new football facility he said if fans knew what he has to go thru now they would double his pay. He said the logistics are difficult now but when the new football facility is built it will be "one stop shopping" for training, meetings, coaches offices, etc.
During the Q & A I asked him about how much time the squad would get to practice at Gilllette to acclimate themselves. He said he has to work around the Pats schedule but he hopes to have some practices there that are open to the fans. After the Q & A he came right up to me and said he hoped he had answered the question fully.....a class guy. I like him. |

Anyone hear anything about Wednesday's Open House? I can't find a single word that's been written about it. _________________ Muck Fax Page |
