I like the logo A LOT. As I posted earlier the best college football logos are unique in their symplicity. This fits both bills.

Now I have an APB to whoever is in the local Amherst or greater Massachusetts area: If anybody sees gear or hats with this logo make sure you post the location where you find it.

Man, I'm not sure how I feel about that logo. Not to be negative, I'm about as UMass as they come, but I kinda like the old one. I am partial to the old school 1990's Umass logo with the script U, but this one needs to grow on me. I know the school would never go for it, but I've always liked the idea of a musket or even something comparable to the old Patriot logo........oh well, I'll get used to it.

It's different and I like it. I know a lot of us liked/missed the script "U" and this brings it back a little bit. I also like how "MASS" is prominent.

Likewise. I love simplicity in logos. I also enjoyed the Frozen Fenway jerseys featuring only the large maroon M.

The helmet logo needed a change, and this would be an improvement, but I'm not crazy about it. I suspect the "Mass" isn't really going to be legible on TV on a black helmet, but that was going to be true of the old logo too. From watching Northern Illinois, it's the white U that's going to stand out, and their red is brighter than our maroon.

I like it as well, a much better helmet logo than the traditional "UMass" logo. I still like the UM for a helmet logo better, but do like how the "Mass" has prominence.
