He is the backup today. There was a nice live shot of him just now during the game. The camera stayed on him for several seconds while the announcers gave his background, including UMass. _________________ "Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. | Quick now owns the Kings franchise record for wins in a season by a goalie with 36. The old record was 35 held by Mario Lessard from the 1980-1981 season. He also had an assist in the 5-1 win against the Stars. |

That's a pretty awesome reason to be missing time. Congratulations to him! What a year. A silver metal and a child! _________________ I wish Hockey East was an all-sports conference. |

| Just looked up Quick's record after last night's shutout. The LA Kings are 18-7-1 when he is their goalie and 4-5 when he isn't. His goal/games average is 1.86 down from 2.3 last year. He is having a great season and at age 24, the beginnings of a great career. |

| Right now Quick would be in the top 3 or 4 for Vezina Trophy voting. He is doing a good job at solidifying his starting role over top prospect Bernier. |

| The Kings won last night in a shootout with Quick in the goal. His shootout record for the year is now 10-0. The Kings cinched a playoff berth last night as well. |

| I don't know if anyone has noticed but, Quick has gotten off to a fabulous start this season with the Kings. I think he is 4-0-1 and has shutouts in his last two games. |
