Getting guys like Dante would sure help draw people to the games; atleast I would be more likely to go to games with guys playing who have a local connnection.

Ran into Danter while jogging in lower Manhattan a couple weeks ago. Absolute first rate guy. Will be rooting for him. Said he was recovering from injuries after playing in Israel last year.

Dante and former UMie Maurice Maxwell both made the team. MoMax tallied 21 points in their game last night.

Dante breaks his nose in D league. Out indefinitely.

The Armor lost last night. MoMax picked up 2 techs in the 4th quarter and was tossed.

Dante update, from a piece in the Snooze last week:
Quote:
Next week, the Armor will face a personnel decision when Dante Milligan becomes available.

The 6-9 former UMass forward has been out with a broken nose. He expects to be fitted for a mask after Christmas.

Milligan’s roster spot has been taken by 6-10 Brayden Bilbe, who was cut in preseason.

The Armor want Milligan back, but Bilbe has served a good purpose in a spot role.

Dante returned to the Armor yesterday. Had a nice return, with 6 points and 11 boards.

Dante is now playing for the Canton Charge who are playing Springfield in the first round of the D-League playoffs. Dante had a nice game last night with 11 points, 2 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals before fouling out in the 4th quarter.

Dante looked much more cut than he did in his days with UMass. He looked like he was in great shape and I was very impressed with his play and activeness overall.

Milligan and the Canton Charge advanced, defeating the Springfield Armor in their playoff series.

Strange format in the D-League.
Canton is the #7 overall seed, they'll play #3 Austin in the semi-finals in a best-of-3. However, Canton gets home game #1, then Austin gets games 2 and 3.

I was told that in addition to the strange format of 1 away game then 2 home games, the highest seeded teams get to pick the team team they want to play in each round.

Springfield was the top seed and elected to play Canton.

That only went for the 1st round. Teams 1-3 got to pick their opponents. The 4 seed would play whoever was left. The only team that went out of order was the 3 seed who chose to play the 5 seed instead of the natural 3-6 matchup. The Armor were the 2 seed and picked to play number 7 Canton

That's kinda cool. Adds an extra layer of interest. Can you imagine the buzz on this board if the a10 did that?

Thanks for clarifying the format. I ment to say Springfield was seeded higher than Canton and elected to play them. Didn't mean to make it sound that Springfield was top overall seed.
