LS - yes it is considered bouncing around by me, and many others as well. And when I say bouncing around I don't mean it as a negative thing, rather he is more focused on his next job rather than his current team.He can't build relationships cause everybody knows he wants to leave (as mentioned) and cause of his off the court ego. Plus Ginsburg did most of the recruiting.

And Ford's name was brought up way before I posted anything, others respoded. Plus isn't that what message boards are about? Opinions and debates?

Coach Ford is great. But, just think, we have two head coaches for the price of one now a days. That should count for something Smile

My wife, who does not read the message board, wondered who the real coach was tonight

The guy with hair and without the turtleneck is the real coach

It's pretty obvious who is the head coach, he's the one standing on the sidelines screaming and gesticulating for the whole game. It is true that at times he and Walberg are not on the same page, but Walberg isn't the one getting warned by the ref to stay in the box.

Vance isn't a head coach at d1 level he proved that at Pepperdine. He is a juco/highschool coach but then again all of our coaches could do that successfully.

Laughing Cool Shocked "Fire Vance Wahlberg...." Agreeing with the premise or not, how can a thread focusing on a firing be positive? roflmao! Although, Vince, Vance, Lance, or whatever he calls himself probably doesn't find any amusement in the idea.

I'm reasonabley sure that he calls himself, Vance Walberg. It's Not Trigger who seems to be unsure of both what the guy's first name is and how to spell his last name. Rolling Eyes Embarassed

101- I never met Ford, so I can't say that "can't build relationships", nor can I say that he was "more focused on his next job rather than his current team." I think most UMass fans felt that he wouldn't be here long but it looked to me like the teams he coached while he was here were pretty good.

Did he produce good teams while he was here just so he could move up or did he move up because he produced good team while he was here?

His lousy recruiting suggests his plan was to get out of here as soon as a better job came along.

I'm still not convinced. Maybe I'm nuts but if TBoone and his $$ didn't come calling after the PC thing was over he was staying.

UMASS STILL RECOVERING FROM FORD'S RECRUITING CLASS DISASTER

Quote:
I said it when Derek Kellogg got the job and I’ll say it again.

The fans at UMass need patience.

Remember, the former Minuteman guard took over a program that wasn’t exactly loaded with talent.

Example A...
