I had UTEP winning two games in the tournament. Also had KU and Villanova in the Final FOur. Bracket fail.

Now it is time to see if he takes another job (I really hope he doesnt take Depaul). I think he should stay though, their team should be stacked next year with better jobs available, but St. J and Depaul, Iowa are tough to win at. Oregon would be fun tho if he were to be considered but I have a feeling they will be looking for someone else.

Barbee is going to Auburn:

Good move. A little bit more margin for error in getting to the NCAAs. 15-1 in Conference USA, lose in the conference tourney final and get a #12 seed? Ridiculous.

Also, I'm glad he didn't take the DePaul job. That job seems hopeless. And I don't have to root for a Big East team!

Looks like Tony prefers to coach in conferences where he can compete against Coach Cal. Good to see UMass grads moving up in the world.

A bit disappointed to see Andy Katz go wrong on one fact. He wrote:
Quote:
Four of his former players are in the NBA: Rodney Carney (Philadelphia 76ers), Joey Dorsey (Sacramento Kings), Chris Douglas-Roberts (New Jersey Nets) and Marcus Camby (Portland Trail Blazers).

The Camby thing is wrong. Barbee's last year as a player was 92-93. Camby's first was 93-94.
