This one's an important battle in the standings. The Duqies are 3-6 after having won at GW yesterday. We're 2-7.
This is the 2nd of 3 games on CBS CS Regional TV. No word yet on the exact outlets that will pick it up. |

Their two big stars, Saunders and Bolding, both prepped at Notre Dame in Fitchburg. Too bad we couldn't have kept them in state.
They play a small line-up. Six players got major minutes in their last game and Saunders was the tallest at 6'7". Creates interesting match-ups. We might see a lot of Matt Hill. He joined with Farrell to shut down Shamani Spears of Charlotte. If I were the coach I'd do that, and put TV on their 6'5" small forward. _________________ Always remember you are unique, just like everyone else. |

If you've ever seen him on the coach's tv show, he's got a great competitive attitude. _________________ Always remember you are unique, just like everyone else. |

How about this line up against Duquesne: Harris, Gurley, Riley, Farrell, and Vinson? Farrell could play Saunders--he really gave Shamari Spears fits. I think I'd put Gurley on Boldan--Gurley's defense looked a lot better against X. _________________ Always remember you are unique, just like everyone else. |

That's a run and gun with no defense lineup. |

Wrong coach for that lineup. Maybe three years ago. Don't see any reason why they'll divert from the lineup used the past three games the rest of the season
Excellent news that Comcast is picking up the game! Always look forward to away games that I don't have to watch on the computer. _________________ http://basketballumass.blogspot.com/ |

| Does this mean the channelsurfing feed will be better than normal? It's still really fuzzy even when it's a game on CBS regional. Hoping it pulls an HD feed from comcast. |

Isn't the problem with the internet transmission versus the feed. I mean, if you get the direct feed from the U website it's not anybetter than channelsurfing. _________________ Always remember you are unique, just like everyone else. |

Pierce -- the channelsurfing feed is almost always the scoreboard feed from the arena where the game is being played. _________________ It's better to burn out than to fade away |

Javorn's probably my favorite player right now. That being said, they should probably use some of those tricks right now in order to get past March 6th. |

TV outlets:
Comcast SportsNet New England
Comcast Network in Philadelphia
Comcast Sports Southeast
Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic Plus
Cox Cable in Rhode Island and Connecticut
Jason Knapp and former Virginia and Xavier head coach Pete Gillen call the game.
Game notes:

A little home-spin:
"The Minutemen have played one of the nation's toughest schedules"
Well, okay, if you want to call a 66 SoS rating (by RealTimeRPI.com) one of the toughest. |

| Pete Gillen is a very colorful commentator. He brings a lot to the radio, and I like him a lot. Wonder why he never went back into coaching, or perhaps he had enough... |
