Totally random comment, apologies if it doesn't belong here, but I was trapped into watching the MTV show with LaLa Vasquez (Carmelo Anthony's wife) and at the moment I was watching it seemed LaLa's friend had gotten Gary Forbes number on her cell and that was mentioned in the show. Forbes has gone MTV on us! |

Well maybe he could be an assistant coach for like $50,000 a year. I wonder how he'd like that? _________________ Always remember that you are unique, just like everyone else. |

I don't know about you guys, but I think this is FANTASTIC! This is an alum of the university who wants to be part of his university post student life. Granted, the guy still has NBA life left in him, but hey, if we can bring him on as an advisor or something in the short term, while helping to set him up for a coaching stint in the future, that would be fantastic! _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |

| Isn't there one or two NBA guys that have committed to being special assistants to college teams while the lockout is in place?? I thought I read about that somewhere on the interwebs. |

I know Luke Walton is joining Memphis' coaching staff. I would not hold your breath about having Forbes on the sidelines. Plus the lockout news seems promising today... |

Looks like GF is heading to Toronto. Good for him!
"Gary Forbes is nearing a two-year contract with a team option for a third with Toronto, league sources tell Y!"

| Nice move for him. Two years (possibly 3) gives him some great security, and he'll likely have plenty of opportunities to get minutes in Toronto. |
