Best (preseason) game I have ever been to in my life. Vic, James, and Vlad. Simply awesome.
Oh and everyone near me knew Victor went to UMass. Everyone. I may or may not have had a UMass banner with me. Convenient. _________________ UMass Pride. |

| The first banner panel on the Giants' site, "Postgame Reaction," calls him Victor, but Panel #2, "Final: Giants 31, Jets 16," says "Victory" Cruz. Eh, kind of appropriate, I guess. |

I hope Cruz sticks around for my G-Men... lord knows we need all the receivers we can get. Good to see several UMass alumni on the field yesterday.

| I just watched the Cruz 6 1/2 minute postgame press conference interview. It was almost as impressive as his game performance. He was mature, humble, humorous and clearly delighted to be there. A total joy to watch. |

Cruzing ! Great to see Victor have a great game. Too bad it was against Gang Green. Looks like he earned himself a roster spot last night ! The first one handed grab was a thing of beauty. He made the Jets 2d & 3d string CBs look lame.
Victor Cruz's performance last night may have put a few more million on the table for the Jets to sign Revis. |

Write up on Cruz's chance to make the final roster.

Cris carter on Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN2 basically said if the Giants don't keep him he'll make someone's roster this year. _________________ "In our Country... one class of men makes war and leaves another to fight it out." ~ William T. Sherman |

That report seems a little off, mathematically. Teams keep, at the very least, 5 receivers. More often it is 6.
If the top 4 are locks, then at least one of the 3 candidates will definitely get spot....much more likely 2 of the 3 make it. So shouldn't their individual odds be much better than 3-1, 5-1, and 5-1?
I don't want to nitpick (too late!), and i understand that the main point is that this guy thinks Cruz is ahead of the others right now...but that just seemed sloppy to me. |

Should have been Offensive Pass Interference.
Great play, without a doubt, but Cruz mugged the defender. |

I'd say Lowery clearly bumped him in the chest first and Cruz was just doing what was necessary to still have a chance to make a play. You don't make the team by being a victim.
Victor had a day you dream about. He talked it up a bit before the game, and then delivered on a big stage in the biggest market in America. And the icing on the cake is he interviews extremely well. He would be an ideal ambassador for the UMass program if he can keep being a contributor. |

| Cruz was all over New York radio today, it was great to hear UMass mentioned a number of times. Cruz does have a legitimate shot to make the Giants roster. Nicks, Smith and Manningham are locks on the roster, Barden has had a horrible camp and might get cut, Moss is a bust and Hagan is nothing special. With Hixon down for the season he can see some time possibly returning punts for the Giants as well as a 5th receiver. |

| With all this NFL talent it really makes me wonder how we ended up 5-6 last year. My guess is poor coaching. |
