I certainly hope, as referenced above, that there is some major quality upgrades to the "broadcasts". As is, those broadcasts may do more harm than good if the quality remains what it was on the internet feed.

I gave up trying to watch because of the scoreboard interruptions. You miss so much of the game.

To you folks watching games at home: what do you do when it's time for a noise meter?

As opposed to missing all of it without it?

Continue reading the witty repartee in the chatroom. Crappy channelsurfing video and umasshoops chat go together like wings and beer. Inseparable.

06 - Yes. I just couldn't watch. I would surf while listening to our radio guys and come back to the video near the end. The guys doing our blog were sick of my messages bitching about it.

Anyone know when Charter Digital Cable (Chicopee) will be picking up this channel? I read that they would be, but no date was said.

Thanks for the enlightenment of that idea....I'm not in that much of a rush to call so I'd figure I'd ask here thinking maybe someone has already heard....clearly I'm not as wise of you though Swampy

Too bad this channel isn't available over the air. CBS3 in Springfield is owned by WFSB, channel 3 in Hartford.

Over the air it's available as WFSB 2. '3 Eyewitness News Now' aka WFSB 3 is equivalent of the channel that carries UMass games.

Available via digital cable only. Sad

Does anyone know if CBS3 Now is available with Direct TV or how that works? We'll be getting Dierct TV on the 13th (a change from Charter) and I'm hoping CBS3 Now will now be available to us. Confused

Unless something changes in the future, you will get CBS 3, the main affiliate channel, but not the subchannel with UMass programming. It's not available over the air, either.

At the moment, it seems that in WMass, Comcast is the only provider that can get the CBS 3 Now feed. If you live in a WMass area that is served by another provider, contact this guy:
John Hesslein at CBS3
Jhesslein@cbs3springfield.com

Ask him to allow other WMass providers to carry the feed. Apparently he's the decision maker that can make it happen.
Ask early, ask often.

As for EMass people, I'm still hearing that UM is working on it.
