The newest Sports Network bracket projection:
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/fcs/FCS_Bracket.pdf
UMass hosting South Carolina St. in a 2nd round game. A win would set up a trip to App. St. It's not listed on the projection but if UMass is the host of the 2nd round game that would next play the 1 seed, UMass would be given the 8th seed. Not bad, but terrible when you consider William & Mary is the 2 seed! Even ahead of undefeated Delaware who is the 4th seed. That's just crazy haha. _________________ Any team, any time, any place |

we could head to the #1 seed in the second round even if the committee views us as 6th best team in country |

| Ya I mean we beat W&M and they are 6 slots ahead of us? I don't agree, then again I am a homer. We win out and we will be a very good seed, I have a lot of hope for this club with this awesome running attack. |

| All voters look at is where each team is ranked currently and what they did last week. That's it. The fact that we beat W&M in week 1 isn't even considered. Both teams have done nothing but win since (except for Michigan) so each keeps creeping up. |

No longer a 4 seed with a 1st round bye and 2nd round home game with the chance to host another. Still have the 1st round bye, but will be on the road at Montana. That wouldn't be fun, even with our win there in the semi's. If you look at the bracket it sets up having us in the #6-#11 game with the winner probably playing at #3 Jax. St., with UMass being the 11 seed.

No longer hosting a 2nd round game here either. If you look at tings we are playing in the #7-#10 game with the winner probably playing at #2 William and Mary. Our guys being the 10 seed predicted to play at Stephen F. Austin (played them in the NIT in hoops a few years ago). I have a hard time taking this bracket seriously with W&M at #2 and Delaware at #4 with both Villanova (who they beat) and the Tribe in front of them.

there are no seeds beyond 5. that is why the rest don't have numbers next to them. Once the 5 seeds, and the other 8 teams who have byes, are decided, they fill out the bracket by creating as many driving-distance games as possible while avoiding opening-round games that have been played in the regular season already.
This is the first season under the new format, so who knows if they'll decide to alter their seeding algorithm |

It is 20. If you look at all the projected brackets they have 20 teams listed. Some teams have byes into the 2nd round. They added 2 more automatic bids and 2 more at large bids. _________________ Any team, any time, any place |

UMass wasn't the only projected playoff team to lose last weekend. |
