I may be wrong but I think Sam Clancy played only basketball at Pitt then took up football after college and played in the NFL for awhile! You are right rayers. He did not play football at Pitt. I was at that Pitt/Umass game as well and seeing the size of that guy and seeing that he went on to play in the NFL, I just assumed he played college ball as well. My mistake.

Back then you could walk into the Cage at 7:25 for a 7:30 game and sit front row center court. There were some good players that came thru the Cage back then, and one good thing was you always had a good view of other players

It appears via twitter that Matt Testani, a longsnapper from New York, is making an official visit to UMass today. Testani is a 2012 recruit. There isn't a lot out there about this kid as far as I can see.

Update: Testani just tweeted that UMass offered him a scholarship to play longsnapper.

Joey Colton, a running back/cornerback from Xaverian Tweeted that he is heading to UMass next year. Not much out there about him at the moment, but it appears he was looking at some decent schools.

^ Further down in the article it mentions that we are talking to "Ralph Cherry (Brockton, Mass./Brockton), a 6-1, 190-pound wide receiver/defensive back"

Haven't seen his name yet on here, but i may have just overlooked it. Mentioned how he has been practicing across from an ESPNU 150 CB in Albert Louis-Jean.

That article is almost 2 yrs old. Must have been written when Colton was a JR. Seems like he wound be a freshman at Umass in 2012. Wonder what happenned to Duke or BC? Sounds like he either signed his NLI late or he is going to walk on? We will probably find out shortly re his tweet with some sort of article. Sounds very promising from that article in 5/10.

Go Umass!

Colton decided last year to do a PG year at Avon Old Farms.

Pretty ringing endorsement for our recruiting in the Tri-State area from "A Quick 60"

There have been a couple of articles about spring practices regarding FBS schools, but UMass hasn't been on any. A few of the players have said that they've been working out, but there's no indication as to when pads and helmets come out again.

Google search suggests he may be headed to Missouri.

Sounds like Mizzou is getting closer to signing this kid.
