Starting this one early, especially since there is a thread on their board. http://www.bobcatattack.com/messageboard/topic.asp?ForumPID=6&PID=72023&Page=1&Delay=Y#FirstNew

Sounds like those folks have got it going:

"Contrary to the traditional OUAA bashes, this event will be held in a tailgate setting in the parking lot of Gillette Stadium as opposed to being hosted in a venue. Festivities will include a silent auction, cornhole tournament, flip cup tournament and split the pot. We encourage all attendees to join us in our tailgate area regardless of whether or not you choose the Bash option (which will include food and drink)."

I wonder if they will come inside if a football game breaks out?

Why would you wonder about that? This is what happens at bigger time college football games. They will probably be packed up and in the game well before the majority of our fans are.

Because I've seen the scene at LSU where thousands that have a ticket stay outside and party.

Guess we will have to wait and see. I'd suspect if they are traveling that far, they'll go into the game.

It's their Mass alumni group. They probably live in Walpole. Smile

I have no idea what the " cornhole tournament" is, but it sounds painful.

^ Haha, yes. This will be featured at our tailgate as well, complete with custom made UMass beanbags. Yep, you know you're a diehard when...you have custom UMass beanbags made. Or replace "a diehard when" with "insane when" in the previous sentence. Either way. Smile

I'm D.A. on BobcatAttack, and I actually live in Wellesley Hills. And yes, we will be packed and in the stadium before the kick. When you are ranked the #1 party school in the nation on a regular basis, you get pretty good at pregaming.

Thanks for the shout out Steve, and if any of you have friends that are MAC graduates I would appreciate you sharing the information with them. We don't really care how many people are participating in our pay option, we just want to turn out in big numbers in support of your home MAC debut. We really hope to make your first MAC home game a memorable one.

Really looking forward to this game. I think this is the marquee game on our home schedule. The game against Indiana will be special because it's our first home game as an FBS school, but Ohio is definitely the best team we're facing at Gillette this year.

Maybe, but have your custom UMass beanbags already undergone their required past-trend color transformation? Wink
