Every single one of his shots in that video is a running one handed floater from about 12-15 feet. Seems like a great shot to have in your arsenal. Reminds me a bit of Chris Lowe's floater except this kid shoots it from the free throw line. Not sure how that will translate in D1 ball if that is his only weapon.
Like others, I think this is a great pickup this late in the recruiting process. A true pg who can score and dish, is immediately eligible, by all accounts is a serious student, and received interest and offers from top conferences. He may be projected to be a backup but hopefully he is a real competitor who can develop into a real good A10 PG sooner rather than later.
At this point in the recruiting process, I think this is about as good as we could have hoped for and might just turn out to be a real catch. It does make me feel a lot better knowing we have two true PG's on the roster next year. |

| xlgman, I thought the same thing when I saw the highlights. But I think the clip was titled "Davis takes it to the basket" or something like that, so maybe it was a highlight reel of his drives. What I did like about his comments is that he also averaged 7.8 assists per game. One last thought, perhaps this will open up recruiting for us in Texas. That would be a good thing. |

| The nice thing about this signing is, by most accounts, Davis is capable of being more than just a back-up point guard. I feel very good about our depth in the back court now. Great pickup! |

I am very happy that DK went out and addressed the PG situation. Now, he needs to address the C situation for 2012-2013. _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |

His full name is Curtis "Trey" Davis. The article had a typo and spelled it "Curtins". It is him though. He played for Dallas Woodward |

| I saw somewhere that they play in one of the toughest districts in the Dallas metro area. Lebryan Nash, a national top 10 player, plays in the same district. |

He played in 4A, which is one level below 5A. The names of the 5A teams lead me to believe they are mostly prep schools. The divisions go down to 1A. He's definitely one of the top players in the Dallas area based on what I've pieced together. |
