I think it's unlikely Trey will leave the program without having played. I mean he's come all the way here from TX to enroll in summer classes. He's already been forced to sit out a year but DK has stuck with him despite the fact that he couldn't sign an NLI. And you question his commitment? WOW!! Come on, the kid is locked and loaded.

NOT FUNNY A--WIPES. This whole tangent wreaks of what is wrong with us voicing annonymous opinions without any accountability for words or accusations. To make humor of your own rumors that turn out miserably wrong is like accusing someone of an act they had nothing to do with and then claiming it was all a joke. I think you're all old enough to know better. These players are young kids and many of you all need to cut the crap and understand the difference between a Celtic and a young kid just out of high school.

The whole tangent is a response to some posters on the board who questioned whether he was coming. IV was the most vocal of the posters saying he was. He is just rubbing it in the other posters faces. Nothing to get worked up over rayers.

As probably one of the most vocal posters questioning whether he'd be here (in terms of planning for this upcoming season), I think it was a relevant concern given the current culture of NCAA sports. Without the ability to sign an NLI, a player can practically up and leave a commitment at any time for any reason. But he is on campus and enrolled, and most importantly he is at practice. The rumor or questioning whether he would be here is dead. But rest assured I don't hide behind a moniker on a forum. I would have said the same thing to every one of you in person.

I was completely and utterly joking around. I would have thought the "te he" post would have clarified that for anyone who stupidly thought otherwise. I guess not.

Thanks for playing along xlgman... at least someone got it.

It's entirely possible that he's going to have to adjust his game a little for the D1 level, but I think he's going to turn out to be a great addition to the UMass team.

I'd recommend you look at the fourth link. That starts out with a bunch of 3 pt shots, so you can form your own opinion on whether he will get it in the a10. My personal opinion is that it's not that slow of a stroke, he should be able to get an occasional open look. I was trying to think of players he reminded of, and I came up with--Monty Mack. Not real fast, but smart and a good shooter and passer. One thing about Monty was that he could really play defense. Trey will have to do that if he wants to see much PT.

All we need in a backup to chaz is 1.Play smart dont turn it over 2. Get other players looks 3. Hit the open 3.. from what I can see TD can handle the role fine

When TD is on the floor with Put, Jesse, TV, etc., he should have time to get his shot off. Opposing defenses probably won't be keying on him with the other scoring options we have. If they play him tight, he looks like he has good court awareness from the videos and he will find the open man. He has a chance to be much more than just an adequate backup for Chaz for the next couple of years. OK, I have dusted off the maroon colored glasses in anticipation of the 2012-2013 season. This has been a hell of an excitong off season so far.

rayers - Unless you read anything and everything here, there may be things at play that you're not aware of, in this case the joking speculation that Davis may not actually show up in Amherst. It took on a life of its own but was never based on actual fact or reporting that we saw. This was just IV and xlgman continuing that joke. Nothing to get worked up about.

Nice article on Trey (still not convinced he's coming here, just wondering who gets his scholarship), love the fact he's competing against a warrior like Chaz. No mention of a Chaz injury........tremendously needed article updating the team, good work Dewey!

Everything I read about Chaz impresses me more & more. This team , if healthy, will be one of the deepest & most exciting teams we've had in quite a while. Should be a special year

Kelloog hoping Cady can start playing in July or August....that's great news. Gets him at least a couple months to get in shape and work the rust off.

Nice to hear Chris Lowe is taking classes, and cool that he's working out with the team. I'd like to know who wins an end to end footrace between him and Chaz.
