Great read, 02! Thanks for posting it.
The tidbit about how long we've been playing football was fantastic and I did not know that. _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |

The first of many in depth articles. Amazing how big FBS is. Also while I'm ecstatic we upgraded, as refernced, our university history suggests we should have been here a while ago. Didnt know we were one of the oldest plating schools.
An article about our scheduling:

Very enjoyable read. Definetly a grass is greener type article , but I loved it!
Can't wait for the season to start. So bummed I can't make the Spring game.
Go Umass! |

| While reading that write up, I also realized that we're going to be included in ALL the college football previews this year!! It's the little things. |

When UMass plays its home games at Gilette Stadium, it will be third-closest FBS school to that location. That’s right, both BC and UConn are closer to Gilette than the Amherst roadtrippers. They should be a competitive MAC program, but they’re a large step below UConn or BC. BC’s found the gutter in the past year or two, but they still have academics, hockey and Boston. UConn is a far superior school with high-level facilities and a stadium that they can sell out. There will be more blue than red at the first UConn-UMass game at Gilette.
UMass alum should be both embarrassed and depressed if this happens. |

I hope there is more blue than red, seeing as no team playing in that game should be wearing red. |

Blah blah blah, if UMass is competitive in the MAC they're competitive with UConn and BC. BC was 90th in the Sagarins and UConn was 76th. 4 MAC schools were ahead of both of those and Western Michigan was also ahead of BC so that's 5 out of 13. I hope you guys kick their ***es if you play them. |
