That's my favorite too. I think it would actually be a bit better with the white stripe.

I like all of the creations posted.

However, I prefer a white helmet that shows Sam. Given the stadium and market where we will be playing - going statewide might be best facilitated by using an image consistent with the Patriots. Kraft is handing us a tie-in and I think it should be maximized.

So I think Sam needs to be on the helmet.

A smaller Sam (or his disembodied head) could go on the back of the helmet with little trouble. I think that would look pretty boss.

Even though I'm a huge J-E-T fan, I think we need to be synced with the Patriots marketing scheme with any branding. I also like the homage to historical Sam. I'd like to presume that a sizable fund is being put in place for outfitting and marketing the transition. FBS teams seem to have smooth attire for every facet of the game day experience. Will our apparel contracts improve?

Glad I am not the only one! Laughing

And I agree that we need better quality gear. Everybody seems to have Under Armour Polos other than us. [/quote]

Like this or without the UMass/Minutemen?

^ I sort of like that. Maybe make a maroon facemask and perhaps go with the three strips (maroon-white-maroon) like the old helmets had.

YEAH!!!!! Ohhh, I just got goose bumps!! Surprised

And with a maroon face mask!

A running Sam version in White wouldn't be bad either.

I also liked the musket idea mentioned before.

Very Happy

No comments on my previous post regarding the possibility of adding player's names to the back of the jerseys like the big boys?

I like that one with Sam as well but we could maybe do away with the Minutemen part and just go with the UMass.

And I like the idea of names on the back of the jersey. I always felt they stayed away from names because of the nature of college sports, the turnover that happens every 3-4 years. But at the same time, having the names helps to identify the guys making the plays if you don't know their numbers by heart. I also like the little tradition we have of giving certain positions/"stars" the same number over and over.....like the #5 for our standouts. Kinda like the #22 for the star lacrosse player at Syracuse.

Thanks to the super easy TeamBuilder for NCAA 2012, here are many different options. Note, because of the annoying blue "option" circles on the editor, when I removed them in editing it chopped a little off some of the logos (but no big deal). What do people think? I think #4 might be my favorite.

Nos. 4-6 are what I was talking about with just the Sam head and not the full logo. I like that look, it is perfect for the side of a football helmet.

That said, I think I like the UM the best. I also think we could consider just a block M, but I doubt it would happen because we dont have one currently designed.

What I dont like is the full logo with Sam and the UMass Minutemen. It's just too much going on and too much detail for the side of a football helmet.

I agree, I like the full logo the least of all of them. I think it definitely has to be the UM or the Sam head.. and in my opinion both look best on the white helmet with maroon stripe and face mask.

agree completely.

I like multiple stripes down the middle of the helmet too like we used to have.
