If you look at the placement of the numbers on the Jerseys, the 87 and 27 look as if they have been rotated to face the front. 44's number seems lower than the other two. 87's helmet didn't reflect light in a similar way to the others and seems more of a matte black rather than a glossy black, which can be explain by photoshop having a hard time with faking glossy colors.
And I doubt those are the actual players. Rob Blanchflower is a big guy, 6'4 250, and that most certainly is not him. |

| I'm really hoping that's not the new look. Anyone thinking Darth Vader? If so looks like maroon is no longer a UMass color. |

| How about the cover of the current issue of the UMass alumni magazine? Those uniforms loo pretty standard. |

My understanding is that those are the new uniforms. I'm hoping it is a cruel rumor, but I don't think so. _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |

This relates to maroon and white how? Yikes!
In a 1 to 10 poll, I would vote zero. _________________ "Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here." |

| I'm not as sour on these as a lot of you guys seem to be. I think they look pretty sweet, especially the black helmets. That said, there better be a maroon jersey and/or pants in the rotation as well. Still not a big fan of the full "UMass" logo on the helmets, I think the UM would look much better. Either way, they should just officially release the uniforms already. |

| Having a black jersey in the rotation is nice, but I think we need Maroon in it since you know its our Primary color? |

| If the black uniform/helmet combo is "THE" uniform, why would you bury it on page 39 when you have THE COVER? |

| ^ I highly doubt they intended to release the new uniforms in this fashion. Guessing it was an error to include that ad in the magazine. If it was on purpose, that's a pretty terrible way to unveil new uniforms. |

I've had a day to look over these uniforms (and a few days since I knew this was coming), and I actually like them. I think I'd still prefer them to be alternates, but I kinda like the idea of us doing something different... making a statement, if you will.
Seeing those on the field will probably end up being pretty cool. _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |

The more I think about this, the less I like them. They're gonna be really hot if it's sunny and in the 80s in early September. _________________ I wish Hockey East was an all-sports conference. |

^^^^^ and if you have ever been on field turf... The "dirt" is crushed up tire and it gets hot from the sun...... Makes the field hotter. _________________ "....I want to see our program be the UMass I know and love." - DK |

I wonder if this is part of the idea to market the team as the University of Massachusetts System Team. Rather than have them were the Flagship's colors, they're wearing black, which, all things considered are pretty neutral. _________________ I wish Hockey East was an all-sports conference. |
