gunner kiel now at Notre Dame
went from INDIANA to LSU to ND | Also mentioned in the middle of that that his top two were Oklahoma and Alabama. As someone who follows ND, check out their past week for how crazy recruiting gets these days. Amir Carlisle (4* RB last year) transfers from USC after a promising FR season, Ronald Darby (5* DB) decommits, 4* OT Taylor Decker changes his commitment to Ohio State, 5* QB Kiel doesn't even decommit from LSU, but just shows up at ND and enrolls for classes - and it's not over yet, as 5* OT/DE Arik Armstead is also reportedly deciding whether to enroll at ND in the next 2 days after his position coach (Tosh Lupoi) left Cal. | Chizzle wrote: | | There are many QBs at ND that might transfer.... UMass perhaps? | I don't think you'll see anyone transfer out until after spring practice, if not a full year given how much Kelly rotates his QB's. And given how his recruitment has gone I wouldn't be surprised if Kiel is the first of the 4 to transfer out if he's not starting by the end of FR year. |

| MassLive has a contest giving 4 tickets and dinner for 4 at CBS Scene for the Indiana game. They have been running a quarter page ad a few times this week in The Republican daily and in today's Sunday paper. Good publicity for Western Mass readers. |

According to Ticketmaster:
Section 106 = Maybe 25% sold?
Section 107 = Sold out
Section 108 = 59 seats remaining (all upper section)
Section 109 = 3 seats remaining (all single)
Section 110 = 7 seats remaining (5 together, 2 singles)
Section 111 = About 100 seats left (all upper section)
Section 112 = About 2/3 sold
Still lots of work to do.... _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |

Anyone have any idea how many tickets have been sold? Anyone have predictions as to how many will ultimately be sold? I think the UConn loss might reduce the numbers a tiny bit, but I think a goal of 28-30K is realistic. Seems like there's a lot of interest in this one. Wish I could go. Have fun out there and be loud. Indiana is very beatable. _________________ Muck Fax Page |

| No idea. It will be hard to tell with this one. I wouldn't be surprised if we had 18k, I also wouldn't be shocked if we got 28k. My bet is somewhere around 25k with about 15k by the November games. |

Indiana playing host to Indiana State tonight. Should be 1-0 heading to Gillette...
My prediction that I hope is way, way off is that we get close to, but less than 20K next Saturday. From what I can tell being out of state, UMass did a great job marketing, but there's only so much you can do. Also interested to see the student interest which might be a little lower because people will be settling in.
I think the best marketing UMass can have now is actually playing a game (and even better, winning) at Gillette. Kind of like making it official. _________________ http://youtu.be/8i5A1Pn0z6k |

I'd be very happy with 25k next Saturday. My gut tells me 20k is more likel, but my gut has been wrong many many times. _________________ Any team, any time, any place |

Indiana beats Indiana State, 24-17. The Sycamores are an FCS team coming off a 6-5 season. _________________ I wrote this ... it's gotta be true. |

| The fact that FCS Indiana State played Indiana to a one score game would've given me a little more hope for a good game against Indiana....IF we had moved the ball against UConn. |

| I watched most of the IU-ISU game. The Sycamores have a fast RB and a large and strong O-line compared to IU's D-line. |

| I guess we will see if coach is willing to simplify the offense some for his untested QBs. |

| I like Umass in this one. In espns bottom ten they ranked below us and I think the UMass players will be amped up to play at Gillette. That and hopefully the jitters on the O-line have time to clear up |

The Penn State game AND the IU game? It was a beautiful day yesterday so I'm sure you watched on the patio while soaking up all that vitamin D. |

25k? I'm concerned about getting to 10k. There are 7 sections for sale. 7. Seven. _________________ Stop waiting for UMass to do something big and help UMass do something big. - Shades |
