it certainly died tonight against SLU at home. I'm not sure that helps or hurts us. I kind of wanted them to beat SLU so that we'd catch another team coming off of a big win and maybe see a let-down. On the other hand, you could see tonight's loss as demoralizing for a still young St. Joe's club. Maybe they're getting tired and, now that they're farther back in the standings, will have less to play for. Who knows? Either way, if we can get a couple of their bigs in early foul trouble and hit 40 percent of our threes, I think we have a great chance of winning this game. With our wins over Bonnie and GWU, this has become a huge huge game all of a sudden. La Salle lost tonight, meaning we are in a tie for 2nd place with SLU and Xavier, but since we have the tie breaker over SLU, we're technically only tied with X. (Saying all this is making me realize just how annoying that URI loss was--we'd be in first place had it not occurred). Also if we can win on the road against SJU, I think we have a great chance in our next two with X and La Salle coming to the Bill after a bye week (and LaSalle lost again tonight, by 2 on the road at Richmond).
Anyone going to the game? A part of me is thinking about it... _________________ Muck Fax Page |

Whether they came off a big win against SLU or have crawled into the fetal position when thinking about their season... you can bet that they will be fired up to kick our ass over losing a 20-3 lead. Just like we consider it a fait accompli that we'll kick URI's ass in the season ender.
This will be a very, very, very tough game. |

Don't forget the bloody beatdown payback we'll be giving to La Salle. _________________ There ain't no days off. That's the only way you can get it. SUCCESS DON'T COME EASY!@big_booge5 |

^ No, as of now it's not listed on the A-10 site
Drive down to Philly and take in the triple header. Drexel, followed by UMass and then the topper, Temple v Xavier |

| Pisses me off how few Umass games are televised. While the scrubs from Northeastern and BU are always on. |

Philly area people...anyone know how easy (in terms of both time and cost) it is to get from 30th Street Station to St.Joe's via either public transit or cab? I am thinking about making the trek. _________________ Muck Fax Page |

| Definitely worried about this game. The Hawks had some cold shooting last time. This is a huge game. We need this one. |

I'm strangely not worried. I think their cold shooting had everything to do with us, not them. It's not gimme but I think we'll get another close win on the road. _________________ There ain't no days off. That's the only way you can get it. SUCCESS DON'T COME EASY!@big_booge5 |

Marty, I live an hour north of Philly so I'm not an expert on the city, but I have been there a lot and have a decent handle on the public transportation. St. Joe's is about 7 miles from 30th Street Station. Best option is to take the SEPTA regional rail from 30th St. Station to Overbrook Station (just one stop) which is a 1/2 mile walk to St. Joe's. Prices vary but it's less than $5.
As for the game, I'm with xlgman. Confident that we can take this one. Yes URI was a big letdown, but overall I think these guys are locked in right now. _________________ http://youtu.be/8i5A1Pn0z6k |

Intangibles don't seem good for this game. 4th game in 2 weeks. On the road in a tough gym. Facing a team coming off a tough loss looking for revenge.
With that said, this team has a ton of heart, and I believe they'll be in this game no matter what, it will just be a matter of coming through down the stretch. _________________ I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it. |

Never thought I'd say this, but I really don't think Phil Martelli is a very good coach at all. He's consistently out-coached and if you took away Jameer and Delonte, he would have been out of a job long long ago.
I'm not worried that Phil will have his team any readier than ours, I'll say that much. _________________ Muck Fax Page |
