UP 2-0 at the 4 + min mark. Found out that NESN is carrying the game.

UMASS has been out-skating BU through 2. Should be 4-1, with 2 missed breakaways, and numerous power plays.

Need to win this at Amherst.

Better than a loss and encouraged by a lot of what I saw tonight. But I continue to be discouraged by the fact that this team continues to not know how to win. Boyle played very well tonight, face offs were much better, they outshot them 35-23, they had a2-0 lead midway through and they still can't win. So frustrating.

WOW. Best period this team has played in a long time. Up 3-0 after 1.

They have completely fallen apart in the last 7 minutes of the second period and given up two goals within two minutes. Now up only 3-2. I absolutely don't get this team. They can't even clear the puck out of their own end.

They go from the best period of the year to one of the worst. They could not clear the puck out of their end for almost the entire last 10 minutes. They commit a penalty at the end of the second period and BU will start the third on the PP. Barely hanging on to a 3-2 lead after 2.

Now 3-3 as they give up a shorthanded goal. This is one of the most discouraging things I have watched in a long time. This team has NO CLUE how to win. They basically stopped playing and skating midway through the second period. Hopefully they can hold on for a tie.

Make that 4-3 BU. This program is dead in the water.

Wow. Maybe Toot can coach them to hold a 4-goal lead. This program appears dead in the water to me. One win in six games and that one was against an Atlantic Hockey team. 0-3-2 in league play and blown leads of 2-0 and 3-0 on back-to-back nights. Sounds like a Good time to offer Toot an extension. Good teams would have come out of this weekend with 4 points. A bad team earns 1. I didn't think things could get much worse thn last year, but they are right now. Could be a battle for 10th his year with our UMass brethren.

Were the uniforms any different?

Also, I'm glad I didn't shell out the $35 or whatever it is to go to Agganis and see them blow a 3 goal lead.

Fire. Toot. Cahoon. Sorry, but it's gotten ridiculous. The inability to sustain intensity for an entire game is a tell-tale sign that the coach doesn't have what it takes. I know I'm not a regular on the hockey board, but it seems pretty ridiculous at this point.
