The NCAA website released the full bracket before ESPNU announced them all.
UM @ MSU, Tuesday at 7 on ESPN2.
Winner of this game likely travels to Seton Hall, who will square off against Stony Brook. |

| I agree with ktabz earlier point....would have loved another home game, but this is a good trip for the guys. On the road at a good but bearable sec team. I'll take it. |

| Well, I will probably be hitting a bar in town (ABC most likely) to watch this one. I don't like the matchup because Moultrie and Sidney are beastly, but they also won't be able to keep up with the pace of our game. Need to pace them out of the game and hit some threes. OR take it straight at those two and draw some fouls. |

| Prob one of the worst matchups we could have got. Miss St has two huge big men that will give us fits. Will be a hard game. |

| Road hasn't been friendly to us, but should be a good experience. If we can get past them, I'm curious on what we could even do against Seton Hall. I know we're a better team than the pre-season, but Seton Hall destroyed us in that game. |

Very tough matchup for UMass. Mississippi State's interior guys are beastly and it is going to be difficult to contain them. Hopefully our speend and quickness can beat their strength inside. _________________ If only I could be as great a fan as Pierce9999.... |

| The team should feel disrespected for being the only A10 team not getting a home seed. They will use it and play with a major chip. |

Starkeville, MS is the Olean, NY of Mississippi. Nothing to do. The redheaded step sister of the Southeastern Conference. Not an easy place to get to at all. I'm sure we'll have to charter and this gives us no time to prepare, so they have a huge advantage. Nonetheless, this will be good for us as a program.
Anyone who knows me knows that besides UMass, my favorite D1 program is Ole Miss (more so in football than hoops). I have plenty of reasons to "hate State" as they say down south and this seeding just gives me one more. Would love to see the guys beat MSU, as I'd definitely be at the Hall game. We actually match up very well with Seton Hall, though they have perhaps the only point guard in the country who can defend Chaz from a speed and strength perspective. Anyway this is a strong NIT field and I'm much more excited about it than I thought I'd be. Miss State is a really tough place to play, so either way, it will be good to get a tough road game under our belts. And SHU destroyed us in a pre-season scrimmage, so that'd be a nice way for us to see our far we've come. _________________ Muck Fax Page |

| With the numbers we've pulled in to the Mullins lately, did you REALLY think the NIT would give us a home game???? They couldn't even bang out the building for Senior Night!!! |

Tough match, but what can you do. At this point it is just great to be still playing. Also glad it is on TV.
Dayton gets screwed..they are a 2 seed that has to play on the road at Iowa because the NCAA uses their arena for the play in games. That is awful, atleast let them go to a neutral court or something.
I don't have a great feeling about this one, but I love the experience that Umass will gain from it. Let us all remember, we are just putting in place the building blocks for what could be a very very special two year run with these guys!
Go Umass! |

I didn't realize La Salle was turning away people at the door from their glorified high school gym Kosty.
