Nice win over Michigan. Thought I would point out that North Reading's Stephanie Mayne won A10 player of the week last week

One more game today against #9 Tennessee. Girls are 5-4 so far on the season after a split on Saturday. Lost to Illinois, but beat #17 Georgia Tech behind Plourde no-hitter and 15 strikeouts.

Losing to UAB 19-0 after 3 innings! The frosh Lemire is gettin pounded.
Plourde has gone wild lately walking a ton and a lot of batters hit. This could be the first "real" down year for them but it was quite a RUN!

7-7 so far is not horrible. A little worried about the pitching depth though.

This year shouldn't be any worse than last year so long as Sara Plourde is healthy. Hopefully there's better hitting.

Next year's pitching is what's worrying.

^ Thats the point Jackman, Plourde has been really wild so far,she has
walked and hit more battrs than ever at this stageand with not much
offensive power this year (seethe combined 27-0 scores on Sat.) thats
a major problem . . . we'll see.

UMass has played one of the toughest if not the toughest non-conference schedules. While I'm sure they would like to have a better record 7-7 is a good position for this team to be in, especially after the last two weekends which were brutally tough

And once they roll through the A-10 AGAIN, those 7 loses are going to look puny.......

And they've beaten two ranked opponents already. This is how it typically goes early in the year. In 2007, they went 11-12-1 in the OOC and in 2008 they went 10-11. Both years they swept the a-10 and went to the NCAA's.
