Many weren't thrilled with his coaching, but can't say I've heard anyone say he wasn't a nice guy. Anyone know if there's been interest in him from other schools? Thought an update might be warranted at this point.

He might not be the worst hire at Yale. Has a strong academic background, knows the New England recruiting scene, never really had off the field issues with his guys, can recruit well and hide his subpar coaching with good players against inferior competition.

The guy has been let go, do we need to keep bashing him?

I started this to see if anyone had updates and to see if he landed somewhere. Why are you seeing this as bashing?... Rolling Eyes

That doesn't stop people from bashing Bru, Lap and TF (guilty as charged on all 3...) either. I don't think Morris will ever be let off the hook unless we explode out of the gate over the next 3-5 years.

I honestly believe Morris could be a very good head coach down the line. He showed flashes.

He showed flashes, or the players that he inherited from coach Brown played in spite of him make him look good?

He's been a HC for nine years. Perhaps he should have flashed a bit more frequently.

Floyd, I really wasn't bashing him. If anything I was complimenting him. "Has a strong academic background, knows the New England recruiting scene, never really had off the field issues with his guys, can recruit well and hide his subpar coaching with good players against inferior competition."

By my count, that's four or five compliments to one insult. Hardly bashing.

I'm not needlessly piling on the guy; no need to get sanctimonious about it. I have no issues with Morris and wish him all the best.

Good for Coach Morris. I wish him the best of luck in this position.
