That's a weird list. Some of them don't make sense.

It's mostly a matter of internal student culture, because the rankings are based off of student surveys. Students at UConn don't have a clue how their professors actually compare to professors at other universities, unless they transferred in from elsewhere. And I'm certainly not going to trust the judgment of someone educated at UConn. I hear their professors are terrible.

Using RatemyProfessors as the source is almost dumb. It skews negative, and most students woud not post/take the time unless they were ecstatic about, or hated, particular teachers.

I teach at WPI. It has a very high student continuance rate, among the Top 10 in starting salary nationally, and I am in touch with a variety of students, even though I teach part-time there. Given what I see as student outcomes, and overall satisfaction in 1-1 discussions, 'give me a break'.

Given the source, UCONN could, or could not be, a miscreant. The source is most suspect.

this is the way the world works. anyone who has been in business for even a half second knows that a customer will tell 5 friends about a good customer experience and 50 friends about a bad one. i don't mind the source, it's the same way every business is judged.

^ So what your saying is the rankings should have been "Schools with the most whiny bitch students"? I'm on board with that.

You've got to be kidding me, they "pored" through Ratemyprofessor.com for their "data"???? ANYONE can log onto that site and pretend to be ANYONE and rate ANY teacher.... I knew an administrator that checked the site out and rated himself as a teacher. Why bother to spend time mining data that is by no means objective? I'm with gosoxx22, all this can tell you is which schools have the whiniest students.
