Recruiting is 24/7 365 a year so Coach Molnar has already offered some
high level players for 2013 per various sources like scout & rivals. |

Texas will fill up at least half of its class after Junior Weekend this coming wknd. You are correct that news for non-BCS schools doesn't really pick up until the fall as most recruits are waiting/hoping for those high-level offers, but like others have said about the only time each year a coach isn't recruiting is for those 3 hours on fall Saturdays when he's on the sidelines. |

And not for nothing, but our DB coach..Jeff Burris was the HC at his HS this past season. I would hope that's a pipeline. Of course, after summer camp and his senior season ..if he plays well.. he'll be B10 fodder for sure. |

As promised here are a few things I can remember from the luncheon.
There was no video taken that I saw. Coach showed the videos of each recruit probably the same that was shown Feb. 1 at the brewery Lots of the WR were also mentioned as DB's Sure got some big OL and DL players. Lots or receivers and coach responded to a question as to why so many because we did graduate a good portion of our wide receiver and he felt that he needed to bulk up at the position. ( remember some of the high MAC scores so that seems to be a rather important position.) Asked about where some of these guys would play the response was - if you are listed as fifth on the depth chart as a WR but have a chance to be 2nd as a DB with a chance to play as a nickle back which position would you want to play.
After the luncheon was over I spoke with him and asked about not signing any kickers. He responded that he has six scholarship players at that position and did not feel that he could afford to invest another scholarship for a kicker. He said that recruiting is still going on and could take any potential recruit that he was persuing that had not signed with anyone else.
As far as 2013 recruiting he has already offered scholarships to several potential recruits. Not sure if it is this weekend or next that he has forty potential recruits coming to campus for a visit.
Coaching staff has not been completer as yet and should be announced in the next week or so.
Also some of the recruits have been at schools that have not dome much weight lifting and all the recruits will be working out as soon as they arrive on campus, early this summer I think and that with "three square meals" a day and the weight conditioning program they will be participating will become heavier and stronger. |

| No. Didn't know anyone was leaving or I would have asked around. As I said in an earlier post the coach said that the staff was still not firmed up. |

That's quite a high school program. Five guys with offers. It's nice to have an "in" there. _________________ "Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here." |

Just read on Twitter that Amir Nave, a 6'3 280 pound guard from New Jersey, is interested in us and Rutgers.
Here is his Rivals Page, no schools listed yet:

You can see the difference in recruiting already! We are aggressively
recruiting early and against stiff competition. We will have around 40
recruits on campus in the next few weeks and with a 21 for 22 success
rate this year we can expect a few of these higher level players to
commit. |
