First home game of the year, pack Garber! Bucknell is 0-1, with a nail biting loss to fellow CAA foe Delaware...

This looks like another tough one right off the bat. Bucknell really gave Delaware a battle. A win here would really start the year off right. Hope there is a big crowd at Garber.
Go Gorillas!

The game is in tv in EMass on WBIN's HD channel!

This seems like the second or third time UMASS thinks tht the game is on WBIN, but all I see is Law and Order. And my video feed is not working on internet, just GT.

econ - WBIN has TWO channels. The game is on the HD channel, which for me on Comcast is 294. Probably different for you, but it sure is on. The video is excellent.

Bucknell's keeper is making a difference.

5-3 us at the half.

8-6 after three.

11-9 final.

How did the first year players do? I see Whiteway scored a goal. How about Izzo coming back from the injury?

Whiteway scored, but the funny thing is he probably only played 5 minutes the entire game, if that.

Izzo tweaked his knee (same one with the torn ACL) in the second period, I think, which was a little scary, but he looked okay when he came back. He did not do much on offense, but he played great defense in the second half. They kept giving his man the ball, figuring he would get by Izzo with the short stick, but Izzo's positioning and quickness were outstanding.

I think this team has a chance to have a special season. They have so many weapons on offense. They dominated large portions of the game, but then fell asleep a couple of times. My main concern is with the goalkeeping. Not sure it is good enough to go deep in the tournament. The Bucknell goalie was unreal today. UMass should have had at least 4 more goals.

Will Manny is a great player. One of the quickest players I have ever seen. Kyle Smith was great today and Kell and Fetterly had solid games. This is a strong team and hopefully it will be in the top 10 all year.

Thought the team played well today. Some of the guys on the team like Will Manny (obviously) are a lot of fun to watch. Glad I started going to LAX sophomore year because it's great to go watch. UMass being one of the top teams in the country and the Garber atmosphere only make it better. Pretty good crowd today.

Took about 50 pictures at the game: https://picasaweb.google.com/105221252169032139426/LacrosseVsBucknell#

I took in this game as well, it was my first time watching a UMass lacrosse game in person in several years. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Totally agree that Bucknell's goalie was a huge difference, otherwise the score would have been more like 15-9. And certainly some shaky goals allowed on our side. Thought the crowd was very good and I love watching games at Garber. On a somewhat random note, when do they start updating the preseason poll? Noticed today that the rankings were as of January 30th, which means they haven't been updated in 3 weeks. Just curious.
