I love the comments these d-bags make, without having seen Loyola or UMass play a minute. "Yeah, I know they've won every game, most by a bunch of goals....but I'm not convinced.....we beat UVA but lost to Duke who beat MD but lost to Hopkins who beat Cornell but lost to UNC who lost to Penn but has a good SOS. So all those teams are better because they played better teams. Even though they lost to 3 of them.".
Such a fallacy. |

| It's such an incestuous group. The sport is really beginning to grow nationally and that terrifies them. |

The team just needs to take care of business in the tournament. If you are really the #1 team, there are no tough seeds.
In the meantime, I hope every team whos fans complain about our schedule are asked if they are interested in a one and one series. |

UMass' success is good for the sport.
ESPN needs to put teams not from the 'incestuous group" on TV once in a while.
The #1 team in the country is never seen nationally. _________________ "Win without boasting, lose without crying." -- Julius Erving |

It's sad that we have 15 pages of posts there for this year and Hofstra has 62. _________________ "Jack didn’t have any envy in him," Calipari said. "He was the greatest coach to ever coach here." |

For the purposes of the RPI, UMass needs to root for North Carolina to beat Virginia, and Duke to beat Maryland in the ACC tournament tonight.
EDIT: Duke beats Maryland, 6-5, in the first game, and it would help if Duke also beats the UVa/NC winner. My bad, no consolation game ... but that's a good thing. No chance for Maryland or UVa/NC loser to add another win to the resume. _________________ I wrote this ... it's gotta be true. |

According the Globe, UMass is number 1 in lacrosse.
...and we thought Ronnie C was late with his BC story. _________________ "Win without boasting, lose without crying." -- Julius Erving |

A Duke-NC final turns out to be the best scenario for UMass, from an RPI standpoint.
Hopkins also getting embarrassed by Navy right now, but they likely will be promoted to the MLL just for being so awesome. _________________ I wrote this ... it's gotta be true. |

| Navy embarrasses Hopkins 8-2 in Annapolis. Fewest goals Navy has given up to Hopkins since the Coolidge Administration (1925). |

Wow - it was also great to see the 'almighty' 'Cuse lose at home to G-Town. They can never lose enough for me. G-Town goalie crushed 2 last second scoring attempts 1-1.
As far as the rankings go, it really all boils down to seedings. I hope we are not into 'you did not win by enough' type thinking - that is for FBS football. LAx has a championship. _________________ Feeling entitled is JUST a feeling... |

| All well and good. That's all we can do. But the lax mafia doesn't think much of undefeated in the world of RPI, SOS and QWs. |

I don't know much about college lax, but I know there is a lot more parity at the D-1 level than the chuckleheads at laxpower.com will admit. They use SOS to deny Umass but look what happened this weekend with Cornell losing to Brown and JHU getting hammered by Navy. |
