He was in the act of stopping, both feet came forward but on the overhead you only see the right foot coming forward so it looks like a kicking motion..

Close. Not sure screwed is the word. Letter of the law, I think it was the right call.

If his skate is going forward with no distinct kicking motion, how is it letter of the law?

The skate going forward IS a kicking motion. The forward motion appeared a little different than just regular stopping motion. Close, but that's what I saw. And the refs.

I hate to agree but I do. I saw the right skate go a little more forward than the left skate.

Did no one else see a little extra shot on the penalty? It looked like he held him, and then after the tackle he drilled him in the head. Grounds for double minor or more.
