I didn't add as much detail to this invite, so if you want to show up and don't know where we set up, feel free to let me know and I'll pass along more details!

Let me know some details, I'd love to join you guys and meet the other diehards on here. Definitely headed out, might be lone wolfing it as my buddy who has season tix with me can't get a hall pass.

PM me with what you need to know. My tailgate is probably the only one here that is open to the public... I think everyone else likes to keep theirs smaller.

I know James will be in town for this, though I'm sure he can't actually play in the game. Any word on Vic?

Here's our recap ... the game was a LOT better than last year:

Thanks for the recap. It sounds like defense will be the strength of this team. Offensively, it seems that the O-line is very good too, but whether we have the personnel to utilize it remains to be seen.

By the way, is Blanchflower injured? Of returning players, I think he the leading receiver, but I haven't seen any mention of him anywhere. Was he at the spring game?

Not the turnout I was hoping for, but I guess it was still a good one. Was a nice day to watch football. The passing game left a lot to be desired, but Jordan Broadnax (RB) looks like he can take the hit and fight for extra yards. Defense looked good.

Brought my camera and took about 70 pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/103913126890789432552/2012MassachusettsFootballSpringGame#

Let's hope not. I'm thinking they weren't breaking out any new unis at the practice game. Old shirts with the CAA logo on them will have to be replaced. But that blue stripe which was a 911 anniversary stripe, has GOT to go. Looks terribly out of place.

Is Brian Dowling playing wide receiver now? From the UMass release, it looks like he led in number of receptions.

Dowling and Williams ran some time at receiver, but I think that's for lack of depth than anything else. I mean, Matty G ran a little wideout for the alumni team.

Makes sense. This season is probably one that we'll see some of the incoming freshman get time at WR, given our lack of depth there.

Hopefully he'll be 100% for the start of the season. I have a feeling we'll be running a lot of plays through him this year.

Most of those catches (if not all) came on quick screens to the WR which for all intents and purposes are just long handoffs, makes sense to throw them to a RB

Don't worry about the helmets, I am fairly certain in saying you won't be seeing these helmets next season. Not as sure on the jersey as I am on the helmet being different. White, but a different logo.
