I know many of you took part in the last TV & Movie College Final Four tourney...way back in 2002. Well, after 10 years, the tournament is back where your favorite fictional colleges & universities match up against each other in a 64 team Final Four tournament.
I had actually built out a voting platform that was a bit buggy. But they i saw Matty V using a 3rd party app for his Gazzette poll that looked great, so we're using the same Bracketeers (thanks Matt!).
So without further ado, here's the
2012 TV & Movie College Final Four:

Enjoy and please tell a friend. We used to have a ton of people in these but after 10 years, I imagine many forgot _________________ Welcome Back DK!

That was really fun, Quinn, but I'm sorry some of my favorite fictitious colleges didn't make the cut:
Hearst College (Veronica Mars)
Old Ivy (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying)
Huxley College (The Marx Brothers in Horsefeathers)
Wotsamatta U (Bullwinkle). _________________ "Good times and riches and son-of-a bitches, I've seen more than I can recall"-Jimmy Buffett |

Funny because they are all on the list, some 200 schools comprised over the years. But with only 64 spots, many were left out. _________________ Welcome Back DK!

About 14 hours left in the 2nd round for those interesting in voting.
Some interesting 2nd round matchups: Michael J Fox and Family Ties own, Grant College, takes on Teen Wolf Too's Hamilton University. We also have a nice Apatow (Undeclared - U of NE CA) vs Wes Anderson (U of North Alaska - Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou). And a strong 2nd round matchup with Old Schools' Harrison University vs Coach's Minnesota St. _________________ Welcome Back DK!

The top 4 seeds continue to progress through to the 3rd round. But we had a huge upset with #5 Minnesota St. (Coach) being upset by #21 Harrison University (Old School). #37 University of North Alaska (Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) pulled off a nice upset of their own, beating #12 U of NE CA (Undeclared).
Some interesting 3rd round battles: Rodney Dangerfield and the folks at Grand Lakes U (Back to School) take on SCLSU (Waterboy), Harrison University (Old School) go up against Shaq & friends at Western University (Blue Chips). Underdog Hamilton University (Teen Wolf Too) have their hands full against Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds) and in the toughest 3rd round battle, we have #1 Faber College (Animal House) being tested by a strong Port Chester University (PCU). Rumor has it Gutter is fully healthy for the Whooping Cranes. _________________ Welcome Back DK!

The quarterfinals are on!
#1 Farber College (Animal House) vs #21 Harrison University (Old School)
#3 Starfleet Academy (Star Trek) vs #15 Springfield University (Simpsons)
#2 Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds) vs #6 Grand Lakes University (Back to School)
#8 Pac Tech (Real Genius) vs #37 University of North Alaska (Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou)
As for 3rd round results...
Wow! Who saw that coming? #37 University of North Alaska (Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) pulled off one of the bigger upsets, knocking off #4 seed and a tournament favorite, Greendale Community College (Community). Dean Pelton could not be reached for comments. Harrison University (Old School) continues their climb through the tourney, pulling an "earmuffs" on Shaq, Penny Hardaway and everyone's favorite Hoosier (other than Damon Bailey), Matt Nover and the rest of #13 Western University (Blue Chips).
The Quarterfinals leave us with some interesting matchups, highlighted by the much anticipated #6 Grand Lakes University (Back to School) versus #2 Adams University (Revenge of the Nerds). Many have already punched the tickets for a Farber vs Adams final, but don't expect Rodney and pals at Grand Lakes to roll over! _________________ Welcome Back DK!

3/27/12: #2 Adams College Upsets #1 Faber College, Wins 2012 TV & Movie College Tournament
#2 Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds): 58.8%
#1 Faber College (Animal House): 41/2%
Adams College looked strong this year in the early tournament rounds, but when it came time for the Final versus #1 Faber College (Animal House), #2 Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds) was a clear underdog, after Faber College destroyed each school in their march to the final. But in the end, a tough Adams College squad took out the favorite Faber, in their greatest fight, winning 58.8% to 41.2%.
