I was told long ago that you dropped a letter every ten years.

I'd be out of letters by now, but Amst works.

In 1958 when I went to UMass we were still getting over Mass State. And in Western Mass it is Amerst. Thanks Dir Sport for reminding.

Actually, when I've heard Cal refer to us he's (IMO) had it correct - UMass

Although he apparently can't say choudah appropriately, as far as the douch at UConn is concerned.

For me it's always been AM erst - used to be about an hours drive from Woosta (I can't understand why these people out her in So. Cal. have so much trouble understanding me).
