Union punches the first ticket to Tampa with a 4-2 win over Lowell in Bridgeport. Great game for both teams until the final 40 seconds when an unbelievably BRUTAL call didn't reverse the Union empty-netter which clinched the game.
Basically a Union skater was 10 feet offsides when the puck was shot into the Lowell empty net from the neutral zone. The linesman even had his arm up but the goal stood. Not that the call cost Lowell the game but it robbed everybody of a frantic final 40 seconds of a great game. |

Rule 6-18-c-14

Gosh I hope not. They had such a good season; I would hate to think that their fans would bitch about a botched goal call with 40 seconds left.
