So on the Boston-specific ESPN.com page, http://espn.go.com/boston/

They have a banner near the top to jump to news about your desired team.....Pats, Celts, Bruins, Sox, Revolution....and BC. They have each team's logo on there for the clicking.

I think we need to get on there. We have FBS football, we're better than BC in almost every sport, and have plenty of alumni in the Boston area. Who do we contact? Anyone have an ESPN connection? It's embarrassing....we're the State University, Boston is the capital of the state, and we can't get on the marquis?

Great idea. ESPN Chicago has Northwestern, Illinois and Notre Dame on their banner and only Northwestern is near Chicago.

There is a feedback box at the very bottom of their home page. I just sent them a message saying that UMass NEEDS to be there, stealing some of your "better than BC" wording.

Let's have 50 folks do the same.

Dear ESPN Boston,

You provide good coverage of UMass so can you please add UMass' logo to the top banner of ESPN Boston? ESPN Chicago has Northwestern, Illinios and Notre Dame on their banner and UMass is roughly the same distance from Boston as Illinios is from Chicago.

There are a ton of UMass fans who would love this.
Thank you.

They actually do usually have a story on us when it's worthy. THey had something on the football schedule last week, they had NIT coverage starting with the Drexel game. And in a few weeks I'm hopeful we'll have a lacrosse final four and softball NCAA team. The lax final four will be interesting anyway, because it's in Foxboro.

I sent feedback as well.....

The link from the BC icon takes you into a general college section. There are articles of any "colleges" in this area. I noticed the article about UMASS Lax being #1 a few down.

Anyway, i commented to include the UMASS logo at the top of the homepage.

Sent them feedback. Here's the direct link (http://espn.go.com/boston/mailbag/_/id/28355/espn-boston-feedback) for you to do the same.

Dear ESPNBoston,

Can you please add The University of Massachusetts logo to your banner at the top of the ESPNBoston home page? The school now has a FBS Football program as well as a relevant basketball program, not to mention one of the top Lacrosse and Softball programs in the country.

I'm certainly not suggesting removing any other logo, but I would point to the ESPNChicago site, where there are multiple colleges listed.

I appreciate your time on this matter.

Thank you,

Brian

I sent in my request along with voicing my support for the work of Marty Dobrow who almost always has a piece worth sharing on facebook. After Jackie McMullen he may be my favorite new england sports writer at this point

I think he is my favorite NE sports writer. And definitely the most underrated/unassuming. Recently had a great piece about guys who played just 1 game at Fenway.

Just to add insult, there is now an ESPN Boston billboard right outside Gillette Stadium that uses the same banner logo as the website, complete with the BC logo. Just wonderful to see at the front door to our new football home... Evil or Very Mad

ESPN Boston's offices are inside of Gillette Stadium. They have a deal with the Kraft's to be there. It would make a lot of sense for them to be promoting their UMass coverage on their site. They have zero excuse not to be providing great coverage considering they now share a building with the program.

Peter Lawrence-Riddell is the guy who runs the day to day operations of that site. He is also originally from Amherst. This is probably a better person to be sending your e-mails to instead of that general feedback form.
