| His drop-kick last year should be, but the Hall of Fame is for a career impact. His NFL career has nothing that warrants him even being on the ballot. Now as mentioned earlier, he has a much stronger case for the CFL Hall of Fame. |

| Ladies and Gents, it is Pro Football Hall of Fame, not NFL Hall of Fame. He is in, case closed. |

He was amazing as a replacement player during the 87 NFL strike. Plus, he just seems so gosh darn nice. First balloter in my book. _________________ Whiskey-stained buck-toothed backwoods creep

He is a dick and a scumbag as a person, but as a football player he deserves the hall of fame...it is not just for the NFL. _________________ Turns out, just because you write your name on a baby doesn't mean you get to keep it." |

How many CFL stars are enshrined in the PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME ladies and gentlemen???? I can think of one....Warren Moon, who played more the NFL than the CFL and has more yards in the NFL than Flutie has in the CFL!!! Flutie does not deserve to be in the HOF.....how many career backup QBs are in the Hall??? NONE. End of story.

| Seems to me that people based on what they have done in the NFL, are in the "Pro" Football Hall of Fame. How many CFL players are in based on their CFL careers? So that argument doesn't hold. As to his NFL career, what merits him being on the ballot? What stats, championships, division titles, etc. as a starting quarterback support such a case? He is one of the great local celebrities in New England without a doubt, but that doesn't warrant the Hall of Fame in Canton. |

Notice the "History" section of the Hall of Fame's web site:
http://www.profootballhof.com/history/decades/index.html
They don't acknoweledge the CFL at all. The only reason they don't call it the NFL Hall of Fame is because of the leagues that predated the NFL as well as the pre-merger AFL.
Saying that Flutie belongs in the Hall because of his CFL accomplishments is akin to saying that Eddie Brown should be enshrined because he's considered the Greatest Player in Arena Football League history .http://www.arenafan.com/news/?page=pressrel&article=5128
There's a reason that the CFL Hall of Fame exists. |

| Quote: | Operation of the Hall of Fame:
The Pro Football Hall of Fame operates as an independent, non-profit organization. Its 27-member Board of Trustees includes NFL owners K.S. (Bud) Adams Jr. of the Tennessee Titans, Pat Bowlen of the Denver Broncos, Lamar Hunt of the Kansas City Chiefs, John K. Mara of the New York Giants, Dan Rooney of the Pittsburgh Steelers, NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, as well as two members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame -- Willie Lanier and Merlin Olsen.
In its day-to-day operation, the Pro Football Hall of Fame works very closely with all facets of the pro football family - the Commissioner's Office, the 32 NFL clubs, NFL Films, and NFL Network. The cooperative efforts of all of these organizations have contributed greatly to the overall success of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In turn, the Hall strives to serve as the best possible historical showplace and repository for the sport of pro football.

"Touchdown" Eddie Brown IS the greatest player in Arena League history. There is no debate on this. Having spent most of the first 5 years of the Firebirds existence watching them play, I know this as fact. And Tom Porras, the Singing QB, wasn't bad either. Not as good as Pawlawski but good enough. |

As an occasional spectator at Firebirds games myself, I got to see my fair share of TD Eddie. Truly a man among boys in that league. His R-rated touchdown celebrations were classic.
