He wasn't drafted, but he is from the Philly area. So it's a similar situation to Marcou attending Isles prospect camp in the past.
He'll be here this fall.
I've put up a bunch of posts about him in this thread, just scroll back a few pages. Rocco stuff starts on page 14. |

Excellent article on Carzo. This kid really seems dedicated to make his hockey dreams come true and will work as hard as needed for that happen. Also found out why he disappeared in the USHL playoffs; broken wrist. Sounds like it might have cost him a chance to be drafted as well.

New recruit for this fall. From USHR:
| Quote: | 6’0”, 185 lb. Waterloo Black Hawks forward Eddie Olczyk has committed to UMass for this fall.
Olczyk, from Long Grove, Ill., has played the last three years in the USHL. In 53 games, he had a 6-15-21 line. Olczyk is a smart, honest player who can be plugged into a lot of different situations and roles.
A 6/17/89 birthdate, he is the son of former NHL player and coach – and current broadcaster – Ed Olczyk. He has a younger brother, Tom, playing in the USHL, for Sioux City. |
Waterloo is where the Marcous played in the USHL.
Here's a Q&A with him from last year:

John Parker is doing pretty well at the USA Select 17 Development Camp. USHR listed him as one of the top performers and he also made the All-Star roster for the camp.
The top players from the camp will go on to represent the USA in the world Under 18 tournament later this summer. |

Who would have thought an incoming UMass recruit would do better at a prospect camp than the great JVR? |

I can't wait until JVR learns a hard lesson about the side-effect of diving in the NHL. |

Joel Hanley article. It was a pretty good read right up until the dumb canuck writer said that UMass is in Connecticut.
| Quote: | "Michigan State was interested for awhile, but UMass seemed more interested," said Hanley, who plans to study business.
"Michigan State is a huge school and I wasn't sure what the atmosphere would be like. I just thought UMass was a good fit. I was pretty excited when they offered a full ride. It was hard to turn down." |
