Redshirt Sophomore year (2008-09) achievements:

Anthony Gurley finally gets a shot (11/12/08)

Redshirt Sophomore year (2008-09) pre-season report from Head Coach Derek Kellogg: "Anthony Gurley transferred from Wake Forest where he had a very good freshman season. I love his athleticism, his toughness. He should be one of the best defenders in the country. He has a great athletic ability, his body is fully developed and I'm looking forward to a big year out of him both on the offensive and defensive end of the floor. He's going to bring added toughness for us on the wing and if he can rebound the ball and give us a good presence on the backboards we've got a chance to have a very good year."

Sophomore year (2007-08) pre-season report from Head Coach Travis Ford: Anthony will sit out 2007-08 as a transfer returning home to Massachusetts after a year at Wake Forest. Everyday needs to approach it as how he is going to make our basketball team better by pushing the other players as well as working on his individual game to get ahead academically and to continue to develop his body. But this is a great time for him to get better as an individual as well as push the other players."
